Quartz sand class
The quartz sand filter is a type of filter that uses quartz sand as the filter material. It can effectively remove suspended solids in water and has a significant removal effect on pollutants such as colloids, iron, organic matter, pesticides, manganese, bacteria, viruses, etc. It has advantages such as low filtration resistance, large specific surface area, strong acid and alkali resistance, oxidation resistance, pH range of 2-13, and good pollution resistance. The unique advantage of quartz sand filters is that by optimizing the design of filter media and filters, the adaptive operation of the filter is achieved. The filter media has strong adaptability to the concentration of raw water, operating conditions, pre-treatment process, etc., that is, the filter bed automatically forms an upper sparse and lower dense state during filtration, which is conducive to ensuring the water quality of the effluent under various operating conditions. During backwashing, the filter media is fully dispersed, and the cleaning effect is good. Sand filters have advantages such as fast filtration speed, high filtration accuracy, and large interception capacity. Widely used in various fields such as power, electronics, beverages, tap water, petroleum, chemicals, metallurgy, textiles, papermaking, food, swimming pools, municipal engineering, etc., for pre-treatment of process water, domestic water, recycled water, and wastewater.
Activated carbon class
The filter material is activated carbon, which is used to remove color, taste, residual chlorine, and organic matter. Its main function is adsorption, and activated carbon is an artificially made adsorbent. Activated carbon filters are widely used for pre-treatment of water in domestic water, food industry, chemical industry, power and other industries. Due to its well-developed pore structure and huge specific surface area, activated carbon has strong adsorption capacity for soluble organic compounds in water, such as benzene and phenolic compounds. Moreover, it has good removal effects on organic pollutants that are difficult to remove by biological and chemical methods, such as chromaticity, odor, surfactants, synthetic detergents, and dyes.
Multi-media class
The multi-media filters used in water treatment include: anthracite quartz sand magnetite filters, activated carbon quartz sand magnetite filters, activated carbon quartz sand filters, quartz sand ceramic filters, etc.
The filter layer design of a multimedia filter mainly considers the following factors:
1. Different filter media have significant density differences, ensuring that no mixing occurs after backwashing disturbance.
2. Select filter media based on the purpose of water production.
3. The particle size requirement is that the particle size of the lower layer filter material is smaller than that of the upper layer filter material to ensure the effectiveness and full utilization of the lower layer filter material.
In fact, taking a three-layer filter bed as an example, the upper layer filter material has the largest particle size and is composed of lightweight filter materials with low density, such as anthracite and activated carbon; The middle layer filter material has a medium particle size and density, and is generally composed of quartz sand; The lower layer filter material is composed of heavy filter materials with the smallest particle size and the highest density, such as magnetite. Due to the limitation of density difference, the selection of filter media for three-layer media filters is basically fixed. The upper layer filter material plays a coarse filtering role, while the lower layer filter material plays a fine filtering role, fully exerting the function of a multimedia filter bed. The effluent quality is significantly better than that of a single-layer filter bed.
